Snowball Catapult

Troop night this week had a low attendance (tired after Christmas or was it too cold?) but we met as planned and started by building snowball catapults!

We then took some snow indoors (don't tell the committee!) and built some snow sculptures.

We will be packing bags in Morrisons supermarket, Chester le Street all day Saturday 19th December. This should be a major fundraiser for us so we would appreciate as much help as possible.

Scouts and Cubs should attend in FULL UNIFORM, any parents available to help will be issued with a T-Shirt to show they are with the Group.

Even if you can't spend time packing bags, please call in and give us some support. All funds raised will be split between general Group funds and next years international trip to Kandersteg in Switzerland that the Scout section are undertaking.

The Scouts had a video night and buffet on Tuesday, folowed by the Cub party this evening. Everyone looks to have had a good night and selection boxes were distributed as a present from the Group.

All it leaves now is the Leaders and Helpers meal on Monday night.

Merry Christmas everyone and both sections meet back in the first week of January.
